Bula Fiji

 

Finally, I made it! First night in Fiji and so far it has NOT disappointed! Got to the airport and got chatting to this person in the customs line who was from Korokoro - SUCH a small world. He told me where the taxis were and advised me to take my Samoan hosts a bottle of ‘someting’ from duty free when I ;leave on Friday. 

Found a taxi pretty easily, and was driven the 20 mins to my resort by the lovely driver who told me he;s been driving in Fiji for 40 years!

The resort is beautiful. I am about 10m from the beach in a beautiful Bure, with a private plunge pool as well as an outdoor shower for if the mood hits. I went to the resort restaurant for dinner and had a beautiful meal - where I ate and enjoyed fish for the first time in my life!

Now I’m relaxing in my room, ready to enjoy the sun and warmth tomorrow on the BEAAACCCHHH
