And we’re off. Well almost!! Currently writing this entry as my plane to Auckland is trying to land back in Welly. Apparently, a bird met its demise in the engine and now we have to land to sort it out. Ummm bro, could've just stayed in the nest for a few more hours, aye?  Hopefully, it’s not an omen and I make my 8.45am connecting flight. Although, what will be will be I guess! Bit of excitement for an early Friday morning.  I’m feeling pretty relaxed at the moment, so hopefully, it’ll all work out 

Update: my flight got cancelled and due to the school holidays there were no more flights to Auckland today - so missed the connecting flight. Currently on hold to talk to AirNZ about changing the flights. Maybe I should’ve stayed in the ‘real person’ line when they told us to go home haha. Looks like it might be a few more days before I get to leave (at the earliest). Let’s see what AirNZ says.

So I'm back again - from my lounge in KELSON. Faaaaaarrrr out, what a day. But I guess everything happens for a reason. A tropical one this time!!

I Spent today on the phone to AirNZ desperately trying to find a way to get to Samoa before 21 Oct. YEEESSSS that's right, in 2 weeks. I am also on a non refundable flight, so pretty much locked right into the demands of bloody AirNZ. This was NOT the go fam, I tell ya, so impulsive Ems decided to suck up the extra cost and see what else was out there.

Something somewhere was definitely looking out for me (Malo, Rose) and up pops a VERY cheap (like under half the price of any other day/ time) flight from Wellington to Fiji, then Fiji to Samoa five days later. Then I find this BEAUTIFUL little beachfront resort with great reviews for a fraction of the cost of many other places, 20 minutes from Nadi airport. Best believe I booked that asap (after doing a bit of online research of course)

Sooooooo, on Sunday your girl is off to Fiji for a week, for some solo relaxation, and then on to Samoa on Friday 14th. 

Best go buy that bikini aye!
